The package also includes a low-level layer, with modules that directly encapsulate the basic concepts of the ../PicoGUI protocol. You absoluely do not want to use these for writing ../PicoGUI apps, but you may want to use it for low-level manipulation of ../PicoGUI data - for example, the widget template compiler uses the requests module to write the "binary" widget template format.
